New in Vanilla Scenarios®: Walk clients through every number with confidence

Great planning conversations depend on trust, and trust depends on being able to show your work. If a client can’t see how you got from a total estate to what’s actually going to them, to charity, and to taxes, the numbers become something to take on faith rather than something to build a strategy around. That’s exactly the gap we closed with this update to Vanilla Scenarios.

When you walk a client through a strategy, every number needs to hold up in the moment — where it came from, how it was calculated, and how it ties back to the total estate. Our recent updates are designed to help you walk a client through all of this information with certainty.

Every scenario now opens with four headline numbers — total estate, total net to beneficiaries, total net to charities, and total estimated transfer taxes, so you can immediately see the impact of additional planning.

 We’ve also added expandable detail rows that reveal the gross-to-net math behind each number, so you can walk your client through the details that you trust.

You can dig into gross values, taxes paid, and net splits for both inside and outside estate, and see exactly how the charitable total is built. Those figures reconcile with what you already see on Transfer Tax, Waterfall, and Balance Sheet tabs, so there’s no gap with what you present. Plus, all of this carries through to client-ready PDF reports, with the option to include or leave out the underlying detail.

The less time you spend explaining a number, the more time you have for the conversation clients actually came for: what this plan means for the people and causes they care about. And when every number ties back to the total, you’re helping build a plan clients trust.
